Our 702-seat theatre is the centrepiece of the Lester Centre. The house features about 300 seats in the lower bowl, with wheelchair accessibility. The remaining seats are found in the lower and upper balconies, with unobstructed views. Indeed, there's not a bad seat in the house! As part of our "Please Be Seated" project, we replaced all the seats in our theatre and made portions of it more accessible. This project was completed in September 2024.
The stage, which has seen thousands of performances in its history, measures 52 feet across and 48 feet deep. Modern sound and lighting equipment is controlled in the booth behind the last row of seats. We can also accommodate your own sound and light gear in the lower bowl.
Our large, uniquely-shaped lobby is about 68 by 48 feet at its longest span. Outside of that are two concession areas, where drinks of all sorts can be served. Both concession stands have working refrigerators, assorted crockery, and a dishwasher.
With an elegant aesthetic, including a stairway surrounded by glass walls, the lobby is perfect for weddings and receptions, and can also be used as a space for business meetings.
Measuring 32 by 34 feet, our rehearsal room has plenty of space for activities, or as a pre-staging area for your performance. Acoustically sound, the room also features an upright piano and a P/A system, in case you need some music while you're dancing in front of the wall of mirrors.

We have two spacious dressing rooms - one male, one female - as well as two more single dressing rooms in case extra privacy is required. All dressing rooms have access to a full bathroom and shower.
Also backstage is a green room with sink, microwave, refrigerator, and storage (pictured). Measuring 24 by 30 feet, it's the perfect place to wait before going on stage. It is also adaptable for private business meetings and mini-retreats.
